Clanger

Introduction

The aim of Clanger is to not only provide a great, customisable web site for a clan.  But also help with the running of a clan, from keeping historical information about members and mathces, to organising events, teams, wars, relationships with other clans etc…

Features

• Support multiple clans with multiple games that have multiple teams.
• Match history.
• Each sub-site can have it’s own theme.
• Tree structure with news / events filtering downwards.
• Generic admin / members only sections.
• News, pages, events, wiki-a-like, gallery, downloads.

Platform / Technologies used

• PHP 5.2+
• MySQL (or DB independent)
• Zend Framework (1.8+)
• jQuery + jQuery UI
• Subversion for source control.

If you wish to help and have any or all of the following skills, please feel free to contact me.

• PHP, epescially object-orientated and Zend Framework experience.
• jQuery (UI) skills for frontend magic.
• Web Designers (providing a default theme, project logo, generic admin etc..).
• Hosting.  I’m probably going to go with Google Code or similar but it’d be nice to eventually get a proper site and maybe a demo installation.

Current Status

• Decided on platform (PHP, MySQL, Zend Framework, jQuery).
• Drawing up feature list and prioritising.
• Comparing open source licenses.
