Today is a day that I never thought would come… a photo of Ben Nadel and myself sitting at the top of his website.  That’ll probably mark the top of my ColdFusion career, it’s all down hill now  It’s like I’ve cheated and crept into a ColdFusion hall of fame through the back door

From the first time I stumbled onto Ben’s blog I started to respect the guy.  I loved the way he’d pick apart whatever had caught his attention until he was satisfied and always appeared ready to find out more or shown an alternative.  His posts have saved me several times in the past when I encountered a tricky problem or discovered a solution I never knew I needed until I saw it.

I was lucky enough to attend the ColdFusion conference “Scotch on The Rocks 2010″ which took place in London (UK).   Ben had been flown over from the US to present at the event.  Every time I spotted him he was busy being mobbed by other people or setting up for a presentation.  It wasn’t until the afternoon of the 2nd day that I strolled up to the bar and Ben spotted me.  We managed to have a quick little chat and have a photo taken together for his blog before the next presentation was due to start.

I never expected to get the chance to meet Ben in person and however brief, it was great
